Biology is the scientific study of God’s living creation. There are many, many areas of study that are considered biological studies. In previous units, you learned about the science of taxonomy and about molecules, compounds, and chemical reactions as they relate to living organisms, molecular biology. This unit will briefly introduce you to microbiology, the study of living things too small to be seen without the aide of a microscope. We will also study some larger organisms which are included in the taxonomic kingdoms covered in this unit. God has created an amazing world around us that is teeming with life that we cannot see as we go about our days. Isaiah 45:18 states, “For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he

Bacteria - Bacteria are organisms made up of just 1 cell. They are capable of multiplying by themselves, as they have the power to divide. Bacteria exist everywhere, inside and on our bodies. Most of them are completely harmless and some of them are very useful. But some bacteria can cause diseases, either because they end up in the wrong place in the body or simply because they are 'designed' to invade us.…
