What Are The Pros And Cons Of Year Round School
There are some cons about year-round school you don’t get to see your family as much. It would be hard for some families paying for year-round schooling because they don’t have a lot of money. Some people will apply for college, but they need, extra curricular items and if you have year-round school it would probably be harder for you to get a summer job. Students work hard throughout the eight months that they attend now, so they deserve a break and time to relax. Some students work over the summer to save up money for college, so to school being year-round, they wouldn't get that opportunity. Some of the teachers might not like the idea of year-round school because they might not have enough money to pay for their job. Budgets and staffing
issues simply may not allow for extended school programs. Many schools already struggle to pay teachers a competitive wage, making it hard to keep high quality teachers. The cost of teaching as a full-time endeavor may not be feasible either locally or federally.
