S.E. Hinton was only 15 years old when she wrote this extremely detailed book. I liked her book a lot because of how much detail she put into it. I didn’t like the movie a lot because I was kind of expecting it to be a lot like the book but was disappointed when it left out many different parts of the book. While the book and movie have many similarities and differences, the book was more effective in telling the story.…

The book and the movie are very similar, but there is some very large differences. The major plot points are the same in both versions of the Outsiders. The Outsiders The outsiders was a good book and movie, although it had many similarities and differences. A difference is in the book it says that Pony-boy gets a cut on his head but in the movie he gets no injury. Johnny was the one that was getting hurt like he got hurt when he went into the burning church to save the kids and piece of the burning building dropped on his back. But pony boy never got no injury in the movie.…

In both, The Wednesday Wars and The Outsiders the main characters Ponyboy and Holling have best friends. In the wednesday wars a show a of true friendship was when Hollings feelings were hurt by Mickey mantle Danny stood up up for him by saying “you pied ninny,”(this is a true show of friendship. The same thing in The outsiders when Johnny was in the hospital dying he said “Stay gold ponyboy, stay gold,”(pg 126 S.E Hinton) this to me is a sign of true friendship. These two quotes fit in with the thesis because who would stay loyal to the end of his or her life and who would stand up to an hall of fame baseball player. Wednesday Wars and The Outsiders…

The outsiders movie and novel have many differences and similarities. I have only written about two of each but it is always fun to go back and look for more There is a hug variation between the two, the tiny details were precisely the same. The Outsiders is about a group of kids that are all different some are greasers, which have the leather jackets and the slicked back hair, and there are the Socs, they are the rich kids of town and are more dressed up then the greasers are. One way that the book is different from the movie is that the movie didn't say anything about Sodapop, the main character's older brother, wanting to get married to a girl when she is out of school and in the book there is a few pages about how much Soda loves…

However, the book and the movie do have their similarities. In the beginning of both the movie and the book, the main characters of the movie, Ponyboy Curtis, Dallas Winston, and Johnny Cade, are revealed. Both versions of The Outsiders also show the situation that the Greasers are in. For an example, the book shows the situation that the Greasers are in when Ponyboy is jumped by the Socs while the movie also shows their situation through how they look and act when they head to the movies. Though they have their similarities, both the book and the movie have their differences. The beginning of the book shows an important scene not included in the movie where Ponyboy is jumped by the Socs. This is important because not only does it show who the Greasers are but also the Socs. In the movie, there is no introduction of the Socs as Ponyboy, Dallas, and Johnny go to the movies. As a result, the book emotionally connects to the audience more through this scene making it an important reason why the book is better than the movie. On the other hand, this is not the only reason why because the movie also loses its connection with the audience in another scene where Randy Anderson comes to Pony’s house to…
