The differences between the groups are the reasons on why they’re being disenfranchise because the Nuns reason was solely on their gender in the Catholic Church. In the film, we learned that one of the Nuns stated that, “We have to defend our human rights. We have to protect one another and what happened that in this case I was either to be accomplice of an injustice or be coherent with the gospel” (Excelsior College, 1993, p. 3). The Nuns took their case to the courts because of the principle of justice as for the film the Long Walk to Freedom were being disenfranchise because of the color of their skin and their rights equality.
