Wilson shot Gatsby, but what were all the underlying reasons… was it really him? The mystery of this non fictional death is a various blame game including all the events leading up to his death. It all starts when Nick Carraway moves to West Egg, a wealthy area, and gets invited to a party by the “big name” of Gatsby (Fitzgerald 3). Jay Gatsby throws parties and invites everyone to get him up on the social hierarchy and to see his love again named Daisy. He throws lavish parties to fit into the scene of West Egg and to show daisy the life she could have.

Daisy was put in a love battle between what she could’ve had versus what she has and she definitely tested the limits. Throughout the book Gatsby proved multiple times that he could be the one for daisy. For example, Nick had a tea party so that way daisy could come, and as
Martens 2 the tea party went on Nick became less relevant as Gatsby and Daisy rehashed the past (87).
Eventually as Daisy starts to fall for Gatsby they go out with each other to parties and they aren’t afraid to be seen in public together, even in front of Tom. With that in mind, Tom does not become a big fan of Gatsby and he makes that perfectly clear with the fights that he gets into with daisy, also with the interrogations he makes to gatsby about his past (74).
At Gatsby’s house one day he had some guests by the name of the Sloans, as well as
Tom and Nick. Tom and Gatsby get into an argument about Daisy. Gatsby tell Tom about him knowing Daisy longer and how it's ok that they are friends. Tom says how Gatsby runs around too much and meets crazy fish (104). The conflict ends, things go on until the following weekend they all go to a party of Gatsby’s and Daisy tells tom to get all the girls addresses
