What Do You Consider To Be Inedible Analysis
1. What do you consider to be "inedible"?

According to the textbook, the word inedible is poisonous or are not eaten because of strong belief or taboos. Food or things that I consider to be inedible would be poisonous animals, fungus, or an animal that died from a disease.

2. What do you consider to be "edible by animals, but not by me"?

Animals love to eat any living things as long as they are below their food chain. Natural selection plays a very big part because every animal craves the excitement of hunting and preying on the weak, but as long as they are not the one being hunted. What I considered to be inedible to me, but animals would gobble it down just fine, would be bugs and any cute looking creature such as bunnies or birds.

Michael Gerard Bauer dealt with a topic that relates to the age group I’m in now. “Don’t Call Me Ishmael” was written about teen hood: Bullying, coping, low self esteem, self consciousness, the list could go on and St Daniels College is the place where it all happens. Ishmael is a fourteen year old boy who goes through the problems that I see teens face every day. His mates are nonetheless social outcasts themselves. All the characters in Bauer’s book deals with their own individual problems.…

Why Men Fail is an article that I disagree with completely. With my eleven years of schooling I have seen all kinds of stupid and all kinds of smart. I believe that men and woman are both equally smart at somethings and they are also smarter at different subjects. I think that gender plays no role in schools and how people perform. This article sounds like it is written as merely an advertisement not something that we should pay attention. One section of the article states qoute “Millions of men are collecting disability.” There are also millions of women collecting disability. Also I don't see why some of these things are a problem. When this article states twelve out of fifteen fastest-growing professions are dominated by women it states this…

Is mental strength as important as physical strength? Some people asked this may say no, and some may say yes. I think mental and physical strength are equal in many ways. I think the articles Why We Run by Bernd Heinrich, ¨Confessions of a Doper¨ by Jonathan Vaughters, and other quotes by famous athletes can back me up a little. If anything, maybe they help me go through my own struggles as an athlete.…

Since the rise of technology, advertising is becoming more and more prominent. Television, computers, tablets, and smart phones are all modern mechanisms in which advertisers use to promulgate their products. Most advertizing companies select a target audience with their ads. In most cases advertisers use a “cool” approach in their ads to market to teenagers; since they have become large-scale consumers. Leslie Savan, an author, delves into this trend of marketing to teenagers in her excerpt, What 's Black, Then White, and Said All Over? She explains how advertising has adapted to using black vernacular to attract a young or a 'wannabe cool ' crowd. Savan states, “Since at least the early nineties, with hip-hop an entrenched, virtually mainstream hit, wannabe has been far more likely to refer to whites, especially teenagers, who want to be black or do the style” (370). By the early nineties black slang had become in-style. Black vernacular was no longer looked down upon, but…

We live under a Christian nation and without a doubt this is represented on our coins and dollars. The phrase ‘In God We Trust?’ refers to the religious foundations of America. This takes us back to the question of divine status, how it was created and its representation when it’s intangible. Studying philosophers of ancient Greece brings us to how religion is perceived today. Centuries ago, Socrates (469–399 BCE) added social, ethical, and political theories to established philosophy. These philosophies later inspired Roman thinkers during the period of the Roman Empire. Plato and Homer derived and illustrated ideas of what it means to be human or divine, through art and literature. Homer and Plato had their own…

Animals can basically be divided into three major categories namely the carnivores, the herbivores and the omnivores. Though they all belong to same parent class but there eating habits are pretty different. Carnivores are basically meat eaters. They generally live on live foods. The biological reason behind this is because they have large mouth and very sharp teeth. This allows them to easily get a hold on their prey and tear off the huge pieces of flesh. The short intestinal tract and the huge stomach is perfect for them to hold even an entire big fish. Carnivores prefer to eat meat because there digestive system basically lacks the ability to digest vegetable matter. Even if they try to live on vegetable they won’t be able to survive for long because there body won’t be absorbing any nutrients. As carnivores have a huge stomach. They don’t have to eat food very frequently as there…

Us humans over time have earned our spot at the top of the food chain, which in turn evolved our cultural nourishment regime into one revolving around animals as a whole, not just their meat. Just about every part of every animal can be & is used for different purposes. For instance, as an article by Discovery magazine states, “Cow feet and hooves are rendered for human and pet food, gelatin, glue, buttons,
handles, lubricants, cow-
heel jelly, bonemeal, soaps, the foam in fire extinguishers,
and fertilizers,” (Klinkenborg). Just to name one example. Essentially, by only avoiding meat, you can still intake countless animal parts- purposefully or not.…
