The story took place in South Africa where the community was separated. There was a family who was against the violence and tried their best to keep their child out of danger but was taking to many prosecutions which eventually

The poem makes you visualize yourself as if you were at the black marble wall which had many names that are very essential to our society. As the poem mention “men would cry at this wall” shows how great the effect was on people because we all know men don’t usually cry. Many brought flowers and many just showed up to pay their respect to all the soldiers that perished that day. The wall keep us reminded of all the people who risked their lives for us.
