What Does The Rose Symbolize In Romeo And Juliet
The symbols behind a rose, a star, a dragonfly and a crown, combined with the colors white, purple and gray reveal a symbolic meaning of Juliet. The rose represents the basic theme of love, and the black coloring of the rose shows the false power and ultimate evil of Romeo and Juliet’s love. The symbol of a star is a reoccurring reference in Romeo and Juliet because of their star-crossed love. Juliet was a very poised, which is represented through a dragonfly, this was because of her family’s wealth and royal status, which is represented through a crown.
