Factors caused Industrialization
In the late 19th century, industrialization influenced and effected the nation a lot. And the industrialization for America is not accidental, there are several factors that lead America to industrialization. The abundant natural resources, increase of labor, rapid development of technology and support from the government, all of them settle the basis for industrialization in American late 19th century.
The affluent natural resources, which caused by western mining, such as Iron ore, Coal, Oil and Lumber are very important for the trend towards industrialization. For example, Iron ore was used to create steel and pig iron, and steel and pig iron were used for railroad ties, bridges, and buildings. Railroad and bridges provided quick transportation for America from the east to the west coast. There were several inventions during the gilded age that really helped the development of American industrialization, Incandescent light bulb which perfected by Thomas Alva Edison in 1878, electrical power distribution system in 1882, Telephone which invented by Alexander Graham Bell, and typewriter which developed by Christopher Sholes. Electrical power distribution system led to electric power that could run machine in industries, homes, and industries. And this system also used on electric street car and printing press. The invention of telephone could be said really helped the industrialization, it is because it makes the communication between people much more easier than before, we did not need to wait for several days even months to get the information. And this invention also gave a brand new job for women, a lot women works as telephone
