What Happened After One's Death?
Death, the big question mark on people's lives. What happens after one's death? Is there and afterlife? Do you meet god? Be reunited with your loved ones? All this has been speculated on for centuries by the people of earth. Different religions envisioning on their own paradise for the dearly departed. I wish I could answer all those questions, but I can't. All I can tell you is what happened to me after my life was over.

My name is.......no longer relevant, and this is my tale.

The day that inevitably lead to my death was not unlike most days of my adult life. I woke up at noon did the three S's (Shit, Shower, Shave.) and ate a quick high energy breakfast. Then it being the proper day of the week I went to the dojo for Tae kwon

Lock my doors, don’t make eye contact and get the f*&$ out before they try something stupid. Unfortunately, I ran into the latter of the groups. I had just unlocked my car door when the bushes behind me stirred. And out stepped a man how was obviously a heavy user of drugs. Black teeth, to match the dark circles under his eyes, blotchy skin the hugged a skull that did not have too much meat on it. He was lanky and tall about five foot ten inches, making him six inches taller than me. But the truly disturbing thig about him was the pistol in his hand. It was a revolver of some kind (I hate guns more of a bow for reusable ammo kind of guy.) and it looked rusted in some spots and just as likely to explode then shoot …show more content…
" it's on the inside of my car door I'm going to open it and pull it out." I say as a slowly star moving to the side to finish opening the door.

" Stoop talkins and Gis me yos munny." I was beginning to wonder if listening to his horrible English could was making me lose brain cells. I choose to ignore the gibberish he was speaking and opened the car door and slowly pulled out my wallet. Throwing it at his feet, it was not a huge loss forty bucks and placstic I can replace before he can cause any damage. He bent down and picked it up keeping and eye and the gun on me. I just watched and wated with my hands in the air with he fumbled on the ground looking blind for the wallet since he was not taking his eyes off me.

He finally found it was started to stand up when something stupid happened. A second drug addict stepped out of the bushes while saying very loudly. " Did you get it." Startling the man with the gun just enough that he pulled the trigger. From my perspective it seemed time slowed down, not in I could move super-fast just everything happened in slow motion, and I was helpless to stop

I pulled my beanie securely on my head as I crouched down on a sturdy tree branch. My hunting knife reflected the dim light of the moon. It glinted letting my prey know I was there. "Yeah, I love a good chase!" I jumped from branch to branch as I chase my target. His brown hair was starting to gray but he ran pretty good for someone in their late forties. At least that's what boss lady said. I jumped down quietly as the man began to get tired. He began huffing as his pace slowed. I knocked into his back sending him into a tree. His chest heavily moved with his ragged breaths. I slowly approached him as I pulled my hunting knife back out. "Let play," I said in a deadpan tone. My eyes lost their light as I stared down at him.…

Before my visit to the cemetery I believed that you were just supposed to live a long happy life, and that was about it. Be happy everyday, and enjoy life as it is handed to you. I didn’t really think twice about what was going to happen after my life is over. But, after my visit to the cemetery, my thoughts staggered in a whole new direction. I started to think long term, and how I would feel when my time came to ‘go’. Sure, you are supposed to live your life to the fullest, but is that the only thing you are supposed to think about? What about your soul? What about that connection? These are the questions that ran through my mind after my visit to the cemetery. From this experience I think that I can honestly say that I have delved deeper into the meaning of…

Of all human stages of development and transition, none of them has profound effect and overwhelming disturbance as death. The surviving members of the deceased’s family and other close loved ones are always at a loss and the grieving that ensues thereafter is of untold emotional torment (Sherman et al., 2003). On the spiritual perspective, death is mourned with the recluse and thought of continuance of life after death. Death is increasingly being viewed as a rite of passage and is not a finality as previously perceived in the preceding ages of our current generations. However, this perspective is speculative in nature for there is no living human being that has marched on with the personal study of the afterlife and come back to life in human…

Is there life after death? What will happen when I die? Even if a person believes that there is no life after death, they will still question what happens to them after death at some point. For most, it is frightening to think that after your last breath is drawn you just cease to exist. Thankfully, as seen in John 3:16, the Christian worldview takes comfort with knowing that as a saved individual your eternity is in Heaven.…

Within weeks, I went from attempting to sell grams at Walmart, making only one¬ hundred dollars a week, to travelling down WV Route 9, labeled a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area by the United States Office of National Control Policy (The White House), several times a day distributing a few pounds of Kush a week. One night towards the final days of February, I was making one last run with J for the evening. Afterwards, I was planning to meet Mo to hang out. After the run, I was on my way to drop off J back at his house, but he asked if we could accomplish another run to his cousin’s house. It wasn’t too late and his house was right down the street, so I agreed. I drove into the poverty stricken neighborhood that his cousin lived in, J hopped out of my silver Nissan Altima and met with his cousin. The transaction was swift and suddenly we skirted out of the area. On the way back, I drove passed a police car sitting in a vacant lot watching for cars to pull over. As we passed him, he pulled out from behind us. I focused on driving and was driving cautiously to ensure that I didn’t violate any traffic…

Death eventually comes to everyone, and yet it is a phenomenon shrouded in mystery. Scholars and scientists try to understand it, philosophers pose theories and conclusions about it, artists try to capture it between streaks of paint across a canvas, while poets like Emily Dickinson explore it's meaning and influence through verse. Death is like an outward rush into the unknown where there is nothing recognizable and nothing to cling to. The unknown is always feared, and since nothing is known about death or an afterlife, people fear it.…

Question of Destiny. Is there life after death? What will happen to me when I die? The Bible tells us that there is not only life after death, but eternal life so glorious that “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). Though not everyone will go to heaven, the wicked are cased down to hell. Everyone stands accountable for their life decisions at the end. Depending on how you lived your life depends on what will happen to your…
