The two types of symptoms are emotional and physical. A person with anxiety disorder might have emotional symptoms such as: trouble concentrating, feelings of apprehension, feeling tense and wound up, irritability, and fear in situations that are not threatening. Some physical symptoms include: sweating, headaches, shaking, twitching, upset stomach, muscle tension, shortness of breath, pounding heart, and insomnia. These types are people are chronic worriers who always expect the worst. Social Anxiety Disorder is an extreme fear of social situations and the fear of being humiliated or embarrassed. This can cause people to avoid social situations and is often interpreted as shyness. Obsessive- Compulsive Disorder or OCD occur when a person experiences repeated thoughts or habits are are beyond your control. Panic Disorder is a type of disorder in which a person repeatedly has panic attacks or sudden feeling of terror that strike without warning. Post- Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD is when a person has persistent symptoms that occur after someone has experienced a traumatic event. A phobia is an extreme fear of something that does not pose a significant danger which can cause others to limit the way others live their lives.
