What Is Atticus Lessons In To Kill A Mockingbird
Atticus teaches his children lots of morals and lessons in the book called To kill a mockingbird. He teaches his children to never judge anyone by their skin color, he also teaches them to fight for anyone who is being discriminated because of skin color, also he teaches his children that some times to kill someone could come for the better for a community or even a country. He teaches his children to be kind and giving to those in need so his children could be like him one day. A kind, loving, strong man who fights for anyone no matter what skin color, nationality or even religion.

He fought for a man named Tom Robinson, he was accused of raping and beating Mayella Ewell and at the time if a black person was accused of anything he/she would immediately go to jail. So in this case Tom Robinson was accused of raping and beating Mayella Ewell and so would have been immediately guilty but Atticus fought his case. He also teaches his children that a final decision must not be made through race but through facts and proof given in court. Atticus once said “If you had been on that jury, son, and eleven other boys like you, Tom would be a free man, so far nothing has interfered with your life, with your reasoning process. Those are twelve reasonable men in everyday life, Tom's jury, but you saw something come between them and reason.” (Atticus- 295) The quote continues on to talk about how Tom was cheated in the courtroom because of his skin color. “There's nothing more sickening to me then a low grade white man who'll take advantage of a negro's ignorance. Dont fool yourselves, it's all adding up and one of these days we’re gonna pay the bill for it.
