Many immigrants have strong motives to leave behind their home, friend, and family. Many of them take this decision to immigrate because they want to help their families in their home country and have a better economy. Many people specially republicans or conservatives argue that immigrants are bad for the country, they think that all immigrants just take advantage of the government or the American people by taking resources from federal programs for low income people, but the reality is that most immigrants don’t use these programs, instead they contribute into the economy and other social programs by paying taxes and helping in the community. Many immigrants have contributed to the country by paying taxes, becoming doctors, lawyers, and business owners. Immigration has also brought diversity to the United States. Diversity brings new ideas, new people, new food, and new languages. If we don’t have diversity in the country, Americans would not be able to understand other culture beliefs or perspectives which would cause a society that is closed-minded that most of the time led to hate and tragedy. Immigrants just want Americans to understand why they decided to break the law and choose to leave their families behind because they want to provide their families with a better future. America is a developed country and it attracts to people of the world who would like know or live

Thomas Paine, a large supporter of America during 1791, describes his perspective of America as a perfect utopia that lives together in harmony and produces no flaws. This however, is not always the case, as Paine’s argument can be justified as both accurate and inaccurate. One topic that Paine addresses in his piece is the topic of diversity and how people from different nations join and live peacefully with Americans, which is known as immigration. Nonetheless, Americans in today’s society have contrasting viewpoints on the topic of immigration. Some people believe that immigrants are an accepted and large part of America, while others have negative viewpoints and opinions about immigrants.…

That better land in today’s world is the land of opportunity-- America. This nation is one founded on immigrants. The founding fathers came from Europe with hope and ambition for a better life for them and their children. Today, people immigrate for the same reason. The difference is that immigration is now looked at with a negative eye. Immigrants now are often blamed for the hardships of American citizens. Immigrants receive accusations of stealing the jobs of American citizens. They also face discrimination and are under represented in congress. Immigrants are also blamed for overwhelming democratic support, which deteriorates the accuracy of who the American citizens want for president. Despite all of these negative views on immigrants, immigrants are not actually that bad for America. People who see immigrants as toxic for America fail to remember all of the times they have benefitted America. The benefits Mexican immigrants bring to the US outweigh the harm they may bring.…

I think immigrants play an important role in America. They help build and strengthen America's economy. Immigrants help the economy by creating their own jobs. They work in all types of occupations. They are teachers, scientists, engineers, and construction workers. Every immigrant creates 1.2 local jobs for local workers, raises wages for native workers, and attracts native-born workers from elsewhere in the country. Overall, immigrants improve economy by creating their own business or working in difficult construction places. (Schaefer, p. 4, 2012)(p.4). Immigration is the main reason for this estimate.
