The wine selection is great and very affordable. Trader Joes has a variety of cheese, cold cuts, fine meats, European style breads and a variety of other items that you can’t really find anywhere else. Some of the frozen and dry goods, such as vegetables, pasta and rice are superb, as are the canned foods, which are usually superior to supermarket brands and often at better prices. Trader Joe’s has its faults, however. In their ongoing efforts to make your shopping experience somewhat more adventurous, I noticed that they have a habit of moving their merchandise around to different parts of the store every so often. This sometimes makes it difficult to find things. Having smaller stores TJ’s sometimes can feel cramped. But the atmosphere at TJ’s is relaxed, and shoppers are usually polite and patient. Workers are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.…

Home Depot has direct rivals, such as Lowe’s Home Improvement, True Value and Menards; as well as many indirect rivals that are starting to branch into the home improvement category. This means that Home Depot is also competing with Supercenters like Wallmart. The two stores have a very different approach, however. The Home Depot stores are laid out like warehouses, with open metal shelving where potential customers can see product as far as the eye can see. All of the aisles are cleanly swept, wide and made of concrete so customers can push large flatbed carts around the store, easing access to larger items such as water heaters, storm doors or even bags of salt to keep snow off of driveways. Their aisles are also crawling with well trained, knowledgeable sales staff that are there solely to help you make the right decisions for what you what for your home. Walmart does not offer this feature, and they do not have stores designed to draw in contractors. Home Depot makes it easy for do-it-yourselfers and professional contractors to find everything they need within a few aisles. Walmart may be able to offer lower bottom-line prices on the home improvement items they sell, but they do not offer the same level of customer service or depth of product. Also, Home Depot has the awareness to plan out far in advance where its stores are going to be placed. The store that I am visiting…

Many of us have heard many times, “Guns don’t kill people on their own, it takes a person to pull the trigger.” Even if people find this statement to be true, guns are an issue that needs to be addressed. A gun is simply an easy tool that people can use and manipulate with hardly any thought. Many suggest taking away guns and promoting peace through government help while others think that the guns are what keep them safe. Situations arise everyday where people have witnessed, or know someone who has been effected by gun violence. Sadly many of the cases result in death or severe injuries.
