Hypothyroidism and Hyperthyroidism affect a patient’s general health in many ways. When a person has Hypothyroidism they can have what is called a goiter, which is an enlarged thyroid gland that can make it hard for a person to swallow or breathe. A person with Hyperthyroidism causes many health problems. Can cause weight loss or an irregular heartbeat. Two examples of how they both affect the general health of a person.
c. If the patient is suffering from Hyperlipidemia, how would this affect the patient's general health?
Hyperlipidemia is when excess of fatty substances called lipids, cholesterol. This can lead to a heart attack, diabetes, or a heart disease which affects a patient’s general health.
d. What is the relationship between the patient's diagnosis of Diabetes and the presence of Hypoglycemia? The relationship between a patient’s diagnosis of diabetes and the presence of hypoglycemia is when a person’s body makes too much insulin. Diabetics don't make any insulin, some people with hypoglycemia only can become diabetic but not usually. Hyperglycemia is high blood sugar and is not always from diabetes but it is treated the same way so it might as well be. A Diabetic can have hyper and hypoglycemic episodes. type one diabetics pancreas makes no insulin type 2 makes some but not enough
