The Radiology department would like to expand from its current capacity to keep up with the rising demand of medical imaging in the area and to keep with the new technology that is changing medical imaging and medicine in general. The current radiology department has about six full time employees and three part time employees. The new expanded department will have about twelve fulltime employees and six part time employees. The radiology department is going to add a computerized tomography machine and ultrasound machine. The clinician begins the clinical session by welcoming Terri and thanking him for coming to the session. Throughout the clinical session the clinician positioned herself so that she was facing the client but still kept her body at a slight angle so that she was not directly across from him. Some disadvantages of the sensor are related to the sensor maintenance its self. One is cable failure. There are multiple wires located in the long cable that connect the receptor to the computer. Throughout the day, the sensor is positioned multiple different positions and angles, all with the likeliness of bending and twisting of the cable. Different Sims-lab from school and patient medication reconciliation, which I performed at clinical rotation in IPPE-III served as a foundation for me to participate in this activity. For example, I had the opportunity to interview standardized patient during Sims-lab which included work up a patient before the interview, then interview standardized patient, step outside of room to assess the patient profile and come up with a plan, then discuss the plan with the patient and write the soap note.
