Which is why she decides to convince Macbeth to do so for her. Lady Macbeth has three main techniques that she uses to manipulate Macbeth. Her first method is to question his manhood " What beast was’t then,

She is trying to prove to him that he was much more of a man when he dared to commit the murder, and wants to show him that when he had the courage to commit the murder she found it a lot more manly and attractive. She also sees that he was manlier when he was prepared to do something that was mandatory to do if he wanted to become the bigger man. She wants to take away his masculine pride and make him feel vulnerable and weak compared to her, so that way he will kill King Duncan to win back his masculinity. Her next tactic is to guilt him into the murder, “Does unmake you. I have given suck, and know How tender ’tis to love the babe that milks me. I would, while it was smiling in my face, Have plucked my nipple from his boneless gums and dashed the brains out, had I so sworn as you have done to this.” Act 1 Scene 7.
