I think that prejudice is inherited. The definition of prejudice is a preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience. People can inherit racism, though. I think that the main teacher of racism is the culture that you are immersed in. For example, in the south, they are more likely to inherit racism because of the history and segregation that has happened there. Before the civil rights acts were passed, lots of prejudices about African-Americans immersed, some people still have those prejudices. One example of prejudice is in the book To Kill a Mockingbird, with the Finch’s housekeeper, Calpurnia. She gets treated fairly, but she is on a lower social level than what the Finches are on. She calls Scout and Jem ma’am and
