What Is Psalm 62

I really enjoy reading these two books. It gives me insights personally from psalm 52 – psalm 62. I find that these section is song of lament that express distress and great sorrow. So they appeal to God for deliverance because they were about to grief for something or someone loss of a life. Through my study I find out that lament could be verbally expressed in wailing, weeping, and crying. Furthermore, lament also can mean that something horrific has likely happened in someone’s life and it moves the person deeply within his or her soul. I think it is outward expressed in such a way that it is cannot be overseen by others. For example we can see examples of lament at funerals in our today experience. Therefore, in these section from psalm 52 – 62 I call it psalm of petitionary praise because it is function is to provide a structure for crisis, hurt, grief, or
On the other to move the worshippers from hurt to joy, from darkness to light, from desperation to hope. This movement from hurt to joy is not a psychological or liturgical experience only although it includes those. Or it is not a physical deliverance from the crisis although that is often anticipated. But is the movement out of the depths from hurt to joy is a profoundly spiritual one. I also recognized that in each psalm has similarities on the pattern of lament. But yet it tells us each as a song of lament particular the words are being used. It also gives clues to us how to understand some of the stereotypical language that is a recurring in the lament psalms. In other words, it gives us important clues about how to understand the images, metaphors, or other literary features
