Starting at the beginning, Theodore Roosevelt was born on October 27, 1858, in New York City. Growing up in New York Roosevelt got interested in the New York politics, where he joined. This attempt took place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, when Roosevelt was due for a speech at an auditorium filled with a crowd of people. The original speech he was supposed to read from had suppressed the impact of the bullet from killing him, even from that he was determined to finish his speech. He starts off the speech, “ Friends, I shall ask you to be as quiet as possible. I don’t know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot; but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose. But fortunately I had my manuscript, so you see I was going to make a long speech, and there is a bullet — there is where the bullet went through — and it probably saved from it going into my heart.
