It is his/her duty to ensure that the person responsible for a crime against the society is convicted. The tough part of this job is that the Prosecutor is usually burdened with more number of cases that he needs to dispose off in a short period. They also need to make the society feel that criminals are receiving punishment which is their due. They do not have any say in the number of cases or in the actual case that gets allotted to them.
