What Is The Difference Between A Christmas Carol Movie And Book
A Christmas Carol

The first edition of A Christmas Carol was introduced in 1843 and the movie version was first let out in 1938. Interesting huh? Well here is a very fun fact about Charles Dickens, the writer of this novel, he always insisted on sleeping with his bed aligned north-south, with his head pointing north. He also had a pet raven called Grip which he had stuffed when it died in 1841. These are a couple of facts that I found very interesting and a little different. In this report I’m going to write about the three ghosts and three things about how they are different in the movie than in the book.
In Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol, the character Scrooge symbolizes greed and all the consequences that come along with greed. In this Scrooge is a lonely and unhappy person. Scrooge is set on an emotional journey through the past, present and future to find the true qualities of life.
The first ghost I’m going to talk about is The Ghost of Christmas Past. This is the Ghost of Christmas Past - Scrooge's own past. The ghost has a strange changing form and gives out brilliant light. With it Scrooge revisits the scenes of his earlier life. The ghost is different in three ways because one of the ways is how they travel. In the book I thought they traveled my foot not by flying and that surprised me by how fast they flew in the movie. Another is

This spirit is the Ghost of Christmas Present. It is a great giant, dressed in a green robe (a little like a green version of our Father Christmas) and surrounded by piles of food. The three things about The Ghost of Christmas Past is that he laughed a lot more in the movie than in the book. Another is that I didn’t know that they traveled around in a building and not my flying because I thought they flew in this stave. Lastly is that he is much louder in the movie than in my head with the novel because in the book I thought that he would talk a little quieter but just as

I think the best scene that illustrates the journey to a new self is when the ghost of Christmas future puts Scrooge in a grave, and makes him have to promise that he will change. First the spirit shows Scrooge the bed where he is laying at the moment. “Tell me what man that was, with the covered face, whom we saw lying dead?” Then the spirit takes Scrooge to his own grave where it starts sinking and Scrooge is falling inside. In the grave, Scrooge makes a promise. “I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.” “I will not shut out the lessons that they teach.”…

“Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. It is happiness because we see joy in people. It is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values” says Thomas S. Monson. This is one intricate message that Ebenezer Scrooge failed to grasp. Ebenezer Scrooge is the narcissistic, avaricious protagonist in Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol. To start off, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of Christmas past, the ghost of Christmas present and the ghost of Christmas yet to come. Each of these three spirits exemplifies a different time in his penurious life. As an attempt to change Scrooge, all of the three spirits…
