What Is The Puerto Rican Flag?
My flag is going to be about the Puerto Rican flag. Puerto Rico is located in North America. Puerto Rico was found in 1898, when the American and Spanish had a war. The Puerto Rico flag looks like 5 white and red stripes and at the left there is blue triangle and a white star. What i’m going to be talking about what the red and white stripes are and the blue triangle with a white star means.
Red part
So first we are going to talk about the 3 red stripes. So the 3 red stripes mean the blood for the warriors who fought for their country. So the people who made the flag wanted to show respect for the warriors who died for their country. So they thought it will be a good idea if they honored the warriors work. Also they wanted to show how brave
and tough they were to do that.
White part
So Second thing I wanted to talk about is the 2 white stripes from the flag. So the white part means that there is peace, freedom and rights. After the war there was peace and freedom for them, no more fighting and no more hate. Plus now they have rights too, females and males have the same rights and because of that they treat everyone same. So they wanted to show the people respect.
Blue part and the star
The last thing I want to talk about is the blue triangle and the white star. So the blue triangle means their government. So their government is a Republican Government, the blue part also represent their 3 branches for Puerto Rico. And the star means the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. So it pretty much means they are together as 1.

So what I learned is that every flag has a meaning of something and every meaning is different. See if you compared USA flag and Puerto Rico flag it's almost the same but their not. The reason why it’s important for the country it's because they can remember what the country repents by looking at the flag. My favorite part is the red part because I liked how honored the people who died for them. See some people don’t care about the people but Puerto Rico did care for the people and I liked that.
