Caddy decides to have the child, but due to the fact she never truly had a mother, Caddy does not act like one to her daughter, Miss Quentin. Miss Quentin stays in the family but rather than staying with Caddy, she stays with Mrs.Compson due to Caddy’s departure from the family. Once again however, the audience sees Caddy’s heart when she tries to send money to Jason in the hopes that Miss Quentin would be getting the money.
