A new drug has been formulated to reduce hyperactivity for children ages 5-17. To test this I will be using 100 children that are randomly selected clinically labeled hyperactive child. 50 Children will be randomly assigned to the experimental group and the others will be placed in the control group. Both groups however will be told that they are being given the new drug (a single – blind study). The experimental group will be given the drug and will be asked to meet every day for two hours, at a designated location and will be observed on how they behave, with regard to the environment their being placed in is an applicable place to do their homework/read etc. The control group will be given a placebo and asked to meet together daily, for the same amount of time (but at a different location). The independent variable is the new drug and the dependent variable will be how the hyperactivity in the children changes (whether increasing or decreasing). Both the experimental group and the control group will be observed by 10 other psychologist and at the end of the trial period (2 weeks), we will hear what they have to say on the 5 children that they each observed. I recorded the heart rates for each subject for each game. To see if there heart rates increased while playing each different game. I had three test subjects for each game. The Just Dance test subjects heart rate on average increased by 35 beats per minute. The Deca Sports test subjects heart rate on average increased 27 beats per minute. Participants in this study were 7 from biological psychology lab section 2. Participants were between the ages of 19-23years old and there was not requirement to participate in this study except to be enrolled on biological psychology lab. All participants (within subject) served in all level of the independent variable which was neutral and positive stimuli/pictures. A study was conducted to find out whether or not there is a relationship between life satisfaction and preferences for different music types. The null hypothesis states that there will be no relationship between music preference and life satisfaction, while the research hypothesis predicts some relationship whether it be positive, negative, weak, or strong. Using the Pearson r correlation coefficient, we are able to determine if there is a correlation between these two variables and if so, the correlation’s strength. The letter r expresses the degree of the relationship. A positive degree indicates higher scores on one variable being associated with higher scores on the other variable, while a negative degree indicates lower scores with one variable being associated with lower scores on the other variable. A degree of would 0 indicate no relationship between the two variables; thus resulting in a failure to reject the null. The values of the correlation coefficient range from -1 to +1, with -1 representing a perfect negative correlation and +1 representing a perfect positive correlation. I predict there will be a relationship between music preference and life satisfaction. I expect the strongest positive correlation with Upbeat and Conventional music and the weakest but yet still positive correlation with Intense and Rebellious music. Accordingly, my example what is the influence of video game violence on my cousin's aggressive. Therefore, I randomly assign some my younger cousins who still play violent games.
