What Is The Response Of A Rose For Emily
“A Rose for Emily” short story by William Faulkner. A Rose for Emily is an in-depth scrutiny of how Emily Grierson the main character interconnected with the society. And how she is seen moreover by the people that live around her, it is also a story about a woman who had been in the shadow of the inordinate, compelling essence of her father who keeps her away from other men for a very long time. “A Rose for Emily” the short story has several characters yet it does not follow in a typical narrative time lined story as it moves around to move between character to character. The reader can still easily follow the story. It starts with the funeral of the main character Emily. And the way people remembered her when she was alive. It then jumps to years before Emily Grierson’s death. When the Mayor of the town and Aldermen come to her doorstep to reminded Emily

And show us how their background as in where they came from had impacted their living in the society as Southern aristocrats who had a lot of fortunes, yet lost most or all of it to the cause of the Civil War. Even with all their fortunes gone, both father and daughter lived proudly as who they were as in they looked down to people who did not meet the aristocrat way as Emily’s father looked at. And they repudiate man of the town who had took interest in Emily, and would think or took action in having a relationship with Emily or even ask her hand in marriage her father would step in and deny them all.
Toward the starting of the middle of the story, we learn about the death of Emily’s father. And how she remained the way as if her father had never died as if he is still alive with her. Emily acted as if nothing happens; she expressed no emotions. Homer Barron who was a contractor paving the streets of her hometown, had arrived soon after Emily's father's death. As Emily got to know more about Homer Barron she grew to more fond of
