Bringing together people with different backgrounds and abilities will give you better solutions. According to Chowney (2016) “Valuing differences is what really drives synergy. Do you truly value the mental, emotional, and psychological differences among people? Or do you wish everyone would just agree with you so you could all get along? Many people mistake uniformity for unity; sameness for oneness. One word--boring! Differences should be seen as strengths, not weaknesses. They add zest to life” (para 4)
Practicing all of the other habits can greatly help your ability to synergize. If you aren’t being proactive you will miss many opportunities to create synergy. If you don’t communicate well with others or understand them you won’t ever experience synergy. Synergy brings together other habits and uses them to create better ideas.
I believe that trying to use synergy in my own life would be advantageous to me. I’m not very outgoing and I don’t trust people very easily. Synergy allows you to open up and be creative with much better results than what you could accomplish on your own or in normal communication.
