Suicides is a leading cause of teen deaths and people know how serious it is. Yet in school people read about two star crossed lovers who kill themselves over love. Author William Shakespeare had wrote Romeo and Juliet as a play as well as many others. The main characters are, of course, Romeo Montague, Juliet Capulet, Tybalt Capulet, and Friar Lawrence. Romeo and Juliet weren't supposed to be together but they didn't care and one problem after another happened. In this story, Romeo and Juliet end up dead because of the controversy from their families and the Friar.
The Capulets are to blame, including others, because Tybalt was trying to provoke Romeo at the Capulet's party. Tybalt is talking to Lord Capulet. He is angry because Romeo is not supposed to be there. Tybalt says “Now, by the stock and honor of my kin/ To strike him dead I hold it not a sin” (1.5.58-59). Tybalt said he wanted to kill Romeo so actually he provoked the fight later on. This led to Romeo banished and Juliet getting depressed & suicidal.
Also the Montagues are to blame, mostly because of Romeo. Since Mercutio got killed, Romeo got very angry and decided to fight back. Juliet came to talk to the Friar about getting married to Paris, but by this time she was already married she was already married to Romeo. So he also told her his plan, “Take thou this vial being then in bed,/ and this distilling liquor drink thou off”(4.1.96-97).
