In a world today where humans litter even the minute of a thing such as a simple can of soda, where students rely solely on calculators and computers to complete class or school work, moreover; small businesses present day cannot even thrive due to the dominance of corporations in the world. Once the viewer reaches about half way into the movie, there is no way that you cannot notice the evolution of humans in time and space in Wall-E. The humans in the 26th century living on the axiom spend their lives lying on moving couches. The humans eat their foods through straws, they seem to not even enjoy their way of living, and the people live their lives not through communicating person to person, but only by way of a halo-screen similar to that of face-timing on an iPhone. This message was an effective way of saying that convenience and innovation for the sake of convenience can reverse progress in society. This fact of doing absolutely nothing and limiting ones creativity and exploration, due to over reliance on technology is highlighted by the captain when he says to the autopilot “I can’t just sit here and do nothing. That’s all I’ve ever done. In the film Wall-E is the most human character, with all the years collecting garbage he eventually develops feelings by way of the “Hello Dolly” musical it seemed like this give Wall-E an idea of how human emotions were demonstrated and how to deal with them. This is very intriguing, considering that the salvation of humanity stems from the intervention of dysfunctional robots: hence, since the humans aboard the axiom cannot use technology to make things right, technology goes back to what makes us really human. For example, MO the little cleaning robot is following Wall-E to clean the dirt or debris he’s left behind and with great courage when Wall-E escapes Mo jumps out of line to clean up Wall-E’s trace he immediately jumps with joy right afterwards. This freewill is most clear though when John and Mary the first humans aware of their surroundings who eventually touch hands see Wall-E and Eve dancing outside the spaceship. In this aspect we see that thanks to Wall-E he seems to contaminate everyone he meets human or robot. Also in Wall-E we see how music plays a lesser but vital part in the movie. Wall-E’s taste for old music creates a
