What is wind energy?
Wind energy is energy that is created by using the wind to generate power. It is a form of kinetic energy that can be transformed into mechanical energy or electricity.

What is solar energy?
Solar energy is energy derived from the sun. Used synonymously with solar power, it is the ability of the sun to convert sunlight into electricity.

What is geothermal energy?
Geothermal energy is energy generated from the heat beneath the Earth’s surface. It is a renewable energy because it is continuously replenished by rainfall that seeps into the Earth.
What is hydroelectric energy?
Hydroelectric power is generated by harnessing the energy in moving water. Water is generally released from large dams and channeled into massive turbines.
What is biofuel energy?
Biofuel energy is a type of renewable resource that is made from organic matter. Traditionally, industrial society has been powered by fossil fuels like gasoline and coal

    Whenever bedrock is exposed, it weathers. Weathered rock often has a different color or texture from neighboring unexposed bedrock. Most significant from a topographic standpoint, exposed bedrock is likely to be looser than the underlying rock. Blocks or chips maybe so loose that they can be detached with little effort. Sometimes pieces are so “rotten” that they can be crumbled by finger pressure. Slightly deeper in the bedrock, there is firmer, more solid rock, although along cracks or crevices weathering may extend to considerable depths. In some cases, the weathering may reach as much as several hundred meters beneath the surface. This penetration is made possible by open spaces in the rock bodies and even between the mineral grains.     Rocky Mountain National Park is a park in Boulder, Colorado that was formed about 1.6 to 1.7 billion years ago from the collision of the North American plate and the Pacific Plate. Within Rocky Mountain National Park there are many other geologic features such as majestic mountain views, a variety of wildlife, varied climates and environments. The area occupied by the park has been repeatedly uplifted and eroded.     The Grand Canyon is a sided mountain carved by the Colorado River. The origin of the Grand Canyon is tied down to the tectonic erosion of the Colorado Plateau. The formation of the Grand Canyon is a big mystery. What we can say, is that its rock layers give us clues of how tectonic erosion occurred in the Grand Canyon. Some of those rocks can be age determined, but some can’t. Some of the rocks that can be age determined are the igneous rocks, and those rocks that can’t be age determined are the metamorphic rocks. The igneous rocks are one of the three main rocks. The metamorphic rocks arise from the transformation of existing rock types, which make changes due to heat and pressure. Different dating techniques are still being used to determine the age of the rocks, although the techniques don’t work for all the rocks. The rocks in the Grand Canyon are classified by different geologic periods such as; Pre-Cambrian, Cambrian, Devonian, Mississippian, Pennsylvanian, and Permian. The rocks, after having their age determined if possible, they are placed in the Geologic Period table so that us scholars can have an idea of how old the rocks are. There are many theories surrounding the formation of the Grand Canyon, but none really have been one hundred percent accepted as the main one. Some theories surrounding the Grand Canyon’s formation include those such as, tectonic erosion of the Colorado Plateau, continental drift caused the Grand Canyon to rise because it was under sea, and many others that will be discussed later on this report.…

Despite efforts to reduce the amount of waste produced, a continually growing population limits the space available in landfills. Municipal and industrial waste biomass is often rich in organic matter, allowing for the creation and use of biofuels as an energy source. This organic matter can be used to synthesize ethanol, methanol, and biodiesel through the conversion of inorganic compounds into energy-producing organic carbon compounds. Moreover, unlike fossil fuels, which take millions of years to form, these organic carbon compounds are formed relatively quickly. Biofuel production from waste is beneficial as it allows for better management of landfill sites, and energy production from materials which typically cannot be recycled or composted. Most importantly, it allows for the reduction of significant amounts of methane produced from landfill gas emissions.…
