Year Round Schooling

How would you feel if you were having a fun time with your family on a nice day in the middle of August, but then you realize you have to go to school tomorrow. Also imagine sitting in a class in the middle of summer baking like a batch of potatoes. If you went to a year round school that could be you. Year round schools would be a great idea if you didn’t know anything about them. I am against year round schools because of the scheduling and the extra cost.
Traditional schools start in the beginning of September and end in June. Year round schools start in August and end in June. They also go to school for 9 weeks and then get a 2-4 week break. …show more content…
Their schedule to me makes no sense because of sports and all of the 2-4 week breaks everywhere.
They can’t play any regular schools in sports because of their schedule. I would also want long breaks instead of short ones because how are people going to go on vacation in two days. You can take a vacation on a two month break. People will also have to get a part time job because you can’t have a summer job because you have school in the summer. So if you want to have a job and have a better chance at sports, you wouldn’t go to a year round school.
It would cost 10 times the regular price because you have to pay more for air conditioning, teachers, and maintenance for year round school then it would for a regular school. Also how would you switch to another grade if you go year round.
So those are my reasons why I am against year-round schools. So you don’t want to be sitting in a hot box and have to pay 10 times the price for year round schools do you? If you agree with me help me stop this problem with year round
schools.
