We tried not to stick out for a while, but that has greatly changed. Overtime, we lost our fear of being uprooted and we stood and grew together. Everyone slowly began to adjust and we started to sprout into the people we are today. At first, we had the strength go through conditioning and join track or football, then the determination to succeed in everything from Academic team to Y-Club, and finally the pride to support the John Hardin community.
I remember Freshman year when I was afraid to get up to speak in front of one of my classes that had about twenty people. I was afraid of anything and everything, but no one let me shy away from the task at hand. My friends and classmates egged me on and more importantly, our teachers gave us courage whenever whenever we needed it.Without our teachers, none of us would be as brave or intelligent as we are today. They were fertilizer for our class because they didn’t just encourage us to grow. They forced us to.Most Schools would have shot down something like last years lip dub in no time flat, but it was an absolutely amazing way to have fun at the end of the year. Then there is the homecoming spirit wall. It is without a doubt my favorite tradition from John because it fills me with pride when it is done right. I mean, we had no idea what we were doing freshman year, we came back with a vengeance sophomore year. We should have won the homecoming stick, but I felt true bulldog pride after I saw our class working together that year and I’ve felt that pride everyday sense. Anyway our time here is starting to wind down I still want you all to know that we should be proud and happy because we have had to work hard to get here. We’re no longer saplings at the the mercy of the wind. We are able to stand on our own, but we do have a ways to grow. There is an entire lifetime ahead of us and it's a time where we can grow into pillars. In a few years time, we will be strong enough to support the next generation too because we are all strong, determined, and
