WHAT KIND OF WORLD DO WE WANT?
The human being has commissioned to create better cars, smart phones, realistic video games, powerful computers and weapons of mass destruction. A fierce technological revolution that has made man forgets entirely his humanity, his values, the abstract side that goes beyond the banalities and the desire for power. Is this the world we want?
The planet is experiencing a digital age that has conquered the human being for its ornateness and for the ambition to possess more than the other, ambition that has separated people from their roots, creating a scenario visibly different from years ago. Children that played in the streets of the neighborhood now they are in front of a computer. Young adventurers who used to explore the fields, today they watch at the screen of their cell phones for hours. Small meetings in which the grandfather told his stories don´t exist. Even our relationship with nature has been affected, man has lost the ability to watch the sunset and walk in the rain, man has lost the ability to appreciate the small and significant details.
After that complex virtual sea, thousands of stories that happen are ignored. Tales of passion like Rose Mapendo and her incredible story of survival . Or the outrageous story of the lifeguard who was fired for rescuing a man out of his jurisdiction, a sad reflection of our reality.
It is time to reflect about the world we want and decide between magnetized and cold world we live today and a more humane world where children write adventure stories or admire the beauty of a plant. It is difficult to change people 's preferences, but always remember that the magnificence of a sunrise is irreplaceable by the cell phone in the pocket.
