What Makes A Hero?

A hero is someone whose only fear is what will happen if he runs away. I believe that anyone can be a hero; all it takes is a little bravery. Heroes come in all different shapes and sizes, and they are not a certain type of person. They can be mothers, fathers, homeless people, pastors, alcoholics, anyone. Some people's heroes are celebrities, mentors, or a hero can even be your role model. There are of course differences and similarities in all of those people though. I believe that a celebrity can of course be a hero, but in most cases they are not. They are usually only famous for being rich, and actor, or something along those lines. Similarly, a celebrity can be your role model, but that again does not make them a hero. One might view a celebrity as a role model because they want to look like that person, or live the same lifestyle that they do. Of course, a role model could also be a hero, and for the same reasons, people may want to be like them. Finally, we have mentors. A mentor is someone who teaches, and guides someone throughout life, and this can be your hero, and also a role model. All of these people have their similarities, but not all fit into the hero category.
That person is my grandmother. She is someone who is brave, and incredibly strong, and I want to be like her. There are many reasons why she is my hero; she has not only raised her children, but she has raised some of her grandchildren, and now she is raising her great-grandchildren. My grandmother has always put everyone before herself, and she is never selfish. This woman completely loves the lord, and I will always admire that. Finally, my grandmother is so strong because of all of the pain she has had throughout her life; she lost her own daughter, and had to overcome that. For all those reasons, she is my
