What Makes Me Happy
Essay

What makes me happy?

Happiness, for me – is when my heart feels warmness. Time goes by, I grow fast, changes come; therefore I might have different feelings that make me happy. Sometimes it is hard to see yourself from aside, but at the same time knows you better than yourself?

I would like to talk about my family, my friends, my job, because they are all components of my happiness. Even the daily routine can cheer me up; at the moment everything is satisfying me. I like to sleep with the sound of a silence, hot cocoa, to get an unexpected phone call, to watch the stars, to read novels, to watch my favorite sitcoms with my family. I really like to learn something new, to make a shopping, to listen to really funny jokes, to walk on the beach, to eat a chocolate, to daydream, to speak English, to kiss my little brother, to know that I am not alone.

That was all about my life's happiness in general. Indeed, my happy times are my student days! I really love to see sleepy faces of my friends every morning. I got used being near with them, I do think we are the little family. We all do the same things: complain about a bunch of assignments, a lack of sleep, not getting a meal in time! But that's fun that not stops us having fun while we do a lot of work together. Ideas, inspiration, good music - make us do incredible things. The latest things I can add, these are our epic fails and jokes which are understandable only for us.

When I see happy faces of people are close to me and the happy face in front of a mirror - I do know I am the happiest

Happiness is something that everyone desires, however, everyone has a different perspective on what it is and how to find it. For many, happiness is elusive. These two articles, “Happiness is Other People” by Ruth Whippman for The New York Times and “The Secret to Deeper Happiness Is Simpler Than You Might Think” by Ginny Graves for Health, proposes two different paths to find happiness. Graves (2017) claims that happiness resides in the inner-self while Whippman (2017) disagrees and, instead, advocates pursuing happiness from healthy relationships. Both authors are targeting an unhappy audience who is seeking advice and, between the two, Whippman makes a more compelling and persuasive argument for her claim.…

In F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, The Great Gatsby, it may seem like Daisy’s selfishness and Nick’s nurturing of Gatsby’s obsession for her are the reason for Gatsby’s down fall. And although it is true that they did contribute to it, ultimately it was Gatsby’s obsession with daisy, his illusion and the past that caused his own destruction.…

Dan Baker and Cameron Stauth 's What Happy People Know is a great book, I would recommend it to anyone to read because, "the same basic principles about happiness apply to virtually everyone, across all age groups, nationality, cultures" (Baker & Stauth, 2003, p. 40). It compares and contrasts what happy people know and do in comparison to what unhappy people know and do. The book teaches the reader how to change their outlook on life from a negative to a positive one. I will begin this report with a brief explanation of what the major underlying factor of unhappiness is. Next, I will briefly talk about the qualities of happiness, according to Baker and Stauth (2003). And lastly, I will reveal just what it is happy people know, also called the happiness tools (Baker & Stauth).…

Happiness is similar to an acorn. When an acorn is young and blooming, you cannot call it a tree. When man is young and fresh, you cannot call him happy. Happiness is the ultimatum of life. Happiness is having friends and family that you can go to in a time of need. They are always there, and they will always be appreciative of you. Some may say “ How could you be so happy knowing that your friends and family talk about you behind your back?”. My response is easy, because at the end of the day their opinions don't define me and I will still love them. Having friends and family is the best thing in this life and is often taken for…
