What makes you beautiful lyrics
You're insecure
Don't know what for
You're turning heads when you walk through the door
Don't need make up
To cover up
Being the way that you are is enough

Everyone else in the room can see it
Everyone else but you

[Chorus]
Baby you light up my world like nobody else
The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed
But when you smile at the ground it aint hard to tell
You don't know
Oh Oh
You don't know you're beautiful

If only you saw what I can see
You'll understand why I want you so desperately
Right now I'm looking at you and I can't believe
You don't know
Oh oh
You don't know you're beautiful
Oh oh
That what makes you beautiful

So c-come on
You got it wrong
To prove I'm right I put it in a song
I don't know why
You're being shy
And turn away when I look into your eyes

Everyone else in the room can see it
Everyone else but you

[Chorus]
Baby you light up my world like nobody else
The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed
But when you smile at the ground it aint hard to tell
You don't know
Oh oh
You don't know you're beautiful

If only you saw what I can see
You'll understand why I want you so desperately
Right now I'm looking at you and I can't believe
You don't know
Oh oh
You don't know you're beautiful
Oh oh
That's what makes you beautiful

[Bridge]
Nana Nana Nana Nana

Baby you light up my world like nobody else
The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed
But when you smile at the ground it aint hard to tell

[Chorus]
Baby you light up my world like nobody else

Beauty in all of its intricate aspects, can be misinterpreted, judged, and crushed to its very core for the same reasons it was once praised. Society diminishes the prominence of beauty, while simultaneously inflicting pressure on the eradication of its imperfections. Women, nowadays, rely on more than just water, soap, and self-confidence to fabricate the mask society deems as pragmatic, and truly necessary. Although the misconception of the physical qualities possessing the upper level in the hierarchical scale of beauty has blindsided millions, there is time remaining to instill the concepts of authentic beauty, according to the article by Nicole James. Knowledge does not necessarily amplify wisdom, and therefore despite the exponentially…

When one thinks of the qualities something might possess to be considered ‘cute’, the first thoughts that come to mind usually are floppy ears, babies, big round eyes, fuzzy little critters, etc. But what are the reasons for these images of cuteness that automatically appear in the mind? Natalie Angier’s essay, “The Cute Factor” explains why the human mind must have such a strange and wide range of qualities that are ‘cute’, and also how cuteness affects the way people make purchases.…

    Posing Beauty

I visited the museum to see the “Posing Beauty” exhibit on Thursday October 3, 2013 and Tuesday October 8, 2013. The atmosphere of the museum was tranquil, and allowed for a freethinking and free-flowing environment to create ideas for the argumentative essay. The title of the artwork I chose is Venus, which is a self-portrait taken in 1994. I was immediately attracted to the piece of artwork because of the position of her body and her nakedness jump out of the portrait. It is not often that curvaceous black women are photographed, let alone naked for anybody to see. I feel extremely close and personal to the image because I am not the socially acceptable model figure. I too have curves and have learned to embrace them despite societies constant reminder that I am not a size 0.…

    What Is Beauty?

As the very popular saying goes, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!" Many people have different views on what they consider to be beautiful which is why many people that I would view as unattractive are very beautiful in someone else's eyes. The world today defines beauty based on outward appearances alone. You are not beautiful if you are not physically attractive. According to the world's standards, beauty means being thin and tall. A clear complexion, shiny hair, straight teeth, radiant skin, and correct proportions are all elements of beauty. Unfortunately, numerous people cannot be all of these things and they are forced to believe that they are not beautiful in the eyes of others. Another saying that is very popular is, "Beauty is only skin deep." I do not believe that this statement is true for the reason that with all the cosmetic surgery, technology and make-up that we have in the world today beauty is bought and not natural. Beauty can also be determined by a person's personality and not necessarily by their looks because the way a person presents him or herself can make all the difference in the world. The most unattractive person can also display beautiful characteristics and it will conceal their appearance. Is beauty only conveyed in one particular color? No, African Americans are produced in many different shades, vanilla, caramel, mocha, coffee and chocolate. Black is in fact beautiful and there is no other race that can measure up to the beauty that is displayed by African Americans. In my opinion, people should not focus solely on the outside appearance because that can damage ones self-esteem. Parents should raise their children to appreciate the thoughts and actions of a person opposed to the looks of a person. Our priorities in American today are not at all in order but maybe one-day society will learn that beauty is not…

This generation believes that beauty is based on how you look, and how you dress. Beauty is more than that, it comes from the inside. Beauty is a combination of physical, social, and mental aspects. It can be one of the most complex aspects of life. Many people argue about appearance and the physical aspects that make up beauty, but in reality there is no true definition of beauty, because beauty is different for everyone. To help support this claim, I will be citing from authors Rosen, Koggel, Montez, and Hickerson.…

Think of your national athletics team at the Olympics. All the individuals in it are exceptionally talented – but at different things. The javelin thrower is able to throw his javelin powerfully and release it from his grasp at exactly the right time; the marathon runner has phenomenal endurance; and the sprinter has powerful leg muscles so that she can explode out of the starting blocks.…

Here’s something to think about. Have you ever been competing for something such as a job and wondered what made you lose to your competitor? Your first instinct would probably be that they have more intelligence or are more experienced and knowledgeable but what it that wasn’t the reason? Maybe, it had nothing to do with any of that. Maybe it had to do with your sex orientation or color of your skin, or even the quality of your clothes. In our society, appearance has always been taken into affect when it comes to making decisions. Although it may be unfair, the way you look can either increase or decrease your chances or succeeding or failing in this world. In fact, appearance has been crucial for years now and will most likely continue into the future. In the poem, “Pet Fly” by Walter Mosley, there are many examples of how ones appearance truly affects them. In this poem, there are four particular employees who work at the same office but on different floor levels based on their appearances: Rufus Coombs, Mr. Averill, Ernie, and Mona Donelli.…

    Beauty Form and Symmetry

    • 588 Words

There are 3 different phases that are observed and each of them are influenced by temperature. In addition, in each phase, the polymorph exhibits different crystal structures. At room temperature of 298K, it will be in phase 3 where it takes the structure of monoclinic-C2/m. When the temperature rises to 396K, it undergoes a transition into Phase 2 also known as the high-temperature monoclinic-A2/a phase. At Phase 2, the lattice parameters are a2=11.037(1)Å, b2=6.415(1)Å, C2=16.042(4)Å, β2=102.69(1)°,where Z=4. There is no reflective or rotational symmetry present at this temperature. There is twice the amount of hydrogen bonds compared to Phase 3, and the crystal structure has an inversion center about a 2-fold rotational axis, as well as a 2 fold twist axis. At Phase 2, because crystal symmetry is compromised, the temperature has allowed for a flexible crystal structure to allow for protons to move, and because it is not suppressed by any hydrogen bonds like in Phase 1 (298K room temperature). The last transition will happen when the temperature crosses above 456K. This final phase in transition takes the crystal structure of trigonal with space group of R3-m. Clearly, as temperature rises, the thermal energy increases, causing the atoms to have greater thermal kinetic energy to vibrate at higher frequencies. This results in higher disorder amongst the atoms and hence, lowers symmetry. The relationship between temperature and atom symmetry is inverse; the higher the temperature, the lower the symmetry.…
