What Makes a Good Leader
What Makes a Good Leader

There are many qualities and characteristics a leader must have to be able to succeed in the long run. For example, a good leader isn't only strong physically, but is also strong mentally, and has to be prepared to take on any force and be able to diminish it. I think that there are three main qualities that really build a leader to make him strong and triumphant. One of the main aspects of being a good leader is to know how to be unselfish with your power. If a leader is selfish with their power, they tend to be corrupted and, put simply, not very nice to their people. They spend too much money on themselves, for luxuries like extravagant clothing and the best food and houses. The people that this leader is leading get very angry and upset because the leader doesn't care much about them, and cares much more about himself. The leader must want what is best for the country, but if he is incredibly selfish, his judgment is clouded on what might seem best for him. To be a good leader one must reach out to the populous and be able to decide what is best for his people by listening to them and understanding their needs. Another really big aspect of being a good leader is being able to not rely on others to make his/her decisions for them but is able to make their own decisions. A strong ruler would be someone that has their own opinion and is not greatly influenced by other people's ideas. He also has to be brave and smart and very decisive. He cannot give in to other people; he has to stand strong for what he thinks is right. If a leader is indecisive and gives in to what other people tell them, then very often the people that are telling them what to do have wrong motives. They might tell the leader to do one thing that could potentially have a very negative impact on what that leader reigns over. Leaders must have a passion for leading, but they also have to want what is best for their country. If a leader is careless about what
