Friendship is something that takes time to happen. You may think that having a friend means, you share a friendship, but I do not think so. Friendship to me is getting to know someone so well that you could tell what the person is feeling even when they won't admit it.
A friend is a person who will always be by your side when times are bad. When you feel like no one cares for you, it is not true only a true friend does and will know when you are feeling this and will do everything in his or her power to make you feel better. A true friend is some one who will understand what you are saying even if it does not make any sense.
I have a few true friends in my life that without my life would change completely. Not a day goes by in which I do not talk to them. They can sense when I am feeling down or when something amazing happened. My friends are an important part of my life and if I get into a fight with one of them, we make up in a minute because we cannot be mad at each other since we know how much the other one cares for us.
My friends mean so much to me. If everyone was mad at me about something I did, my friends would stick by my side and defend me. Friends are important in my life because when I feel down they are the only ones I feel like talking with. It is easier for me to talk to my friends about my problems because it is school life most of the time that is the problem. All my friends are different ages. Some of them are 16 or 17 years old, and they are my role models. When I see them, I sometimes learn new and different things from them. All my friends have a different meaning to me because the all have a special quality in them that makes them my friend. Every one of my friends is different. Some are smart, some are funny and they are all my friends because they believe in me.
My friends make me feel that I am special and there is no one like me. My friends are the greatest friends in the world because they will do anything to make me feel better when I am upset about something. If anyone bothers me, my friends would defend me and if the opposite were to happen to them, I would defend them.
Many people consider all their friends true friends but a true friend is someone who is always by your side and will be there no matter what happens. My true friends will always be close to me and no matter what happens I will always defend them when they need help. My life would be incomplete without my friends no one could replace them. That is what makes a friend a true friend to me.

With that said, I will say my friends are one of the most important things to me. I can remember one time getting in trouble and being told that I couldn’t hang out with my friends, and it literally was the worst thing ever. I mean- take my phone, my car, anything…but not my friends! Of course I have my closest buds (one since 1st grade), but when I add my teammates, my home-girls, co-workers, and all my everyday friends, I realize how important these people are to me. It’s all these friends that have taught me to laugh, to trust, to challenge myself, and to listen and understand that everyone has a story of their own. We have all been there for each other at some point, creating some pretty great memories.…
