The second Estate is made out of the nobility. The nobles made up 25-30% of the land and had leading positions in France and had tax exemptions. They also voted and agreed with most of what the king said which made them another top estate with the king.
The next estate is the third estate which was one of the lower estates out of the three. The third estate were split into three groups. Group one being the peasants who owned 35-40% of the land and had 80% of the population which was to much for the land they had. Group 2 being the skilled workers living in the city. They had 8% of the population and were upset about the increasing living conditions. The last group was the bourgeoisie who had a 2.3mil people and 20-25% of the land. They wanted more government power. This means the third estate got the short end of the stick which means about 90% of the population got the short end of the stick. This lead to the beginning of the revolution because it wasn’t fair for a lot of people and this made them angry so they decided to do something about
