Scale is what the Mayans where obviously good at building large temples and homes. The homes were made out of clay, vines, hay and many other things just weaved together. The temples were made of tightly formed clay bricks with the help of mud to build such huge temples. Let’s be honest do you think you could build a temple made of mud and sand that is almost 230 feet high and that are still standing today, yeah I didn’t think so. The biggest temple of the Mayan was 230 feet high finished in 720 A.D and still standing today. Physical effort was very big in Mayan culture, hauling and stacking bricks for building the temples and gathering large amounts of the materials needed to make the homes. Having to build up the temples brick by brick was probably not an easy job for them, and …show more content…
it took a lot of physical effort. Just imagine hauling bricks and large amounts of supplies to build the Mayans homes and temples. The physical effort the Mayans had made their temple last from 720 A.D to now 2018.
Lastly genius also has a big part of Mayan Architecture.
Do you think the Mayan just randomly came up with the right materials and size and structure no I took time and thinking like a genius. Mayans are genius first just by discovering the right materials to use for their temples and homes so they would stay together and be a good shelter or worshipping place. They also had to come up with how to make it as tall as they did and to stay that way and hold so it wouldn’t collapse. Lastly they would have to find the right place to build it and what to build it for. Do you think they could have done all that at that time without being
genius.
Still people think that the Mayans greatest achievement wasn’t architecture. Then again you have to think about significance, scale, genius, and effort and still I think the Mayan architecture has all these traits. That’s why I believe that Mayan architecture is the best because of significance, effort, scale, and genius.
