Among the three proposals, we chose our first option which is Accountancy as a Pre-Law Course in De La Salle Lipa as the topic of our research paper. As future law-takers, we believe this is an appropriate topic to enable ourselves to know the edge of taking Accountancy as a pre-law course.
The first objective of our research is to compare Accountancy with the other commonly taken pre-law courses in De La Salle Lipa. We narrowed down our research by limiting it within De La Salle Lipa alone and comparing Accountancy with the most common pre-law courses taken in the said college. Implied in our first objective is the need for the necessary and significant information which will grab the interest of the audience.
With that as the first objective, determining the edge of Accountancy among the other pre-law courses in De La Salle Lipa follows as the second objective. With the help of secondary resources, we want to prove the primary information that states Accountancy as the best pre-law course by citing justifiable reasons in our research paper. Aside from that, we also want to find out the lacks of Accountancy as a pre-law course, having it compared with the other pre-law courses offered in De La Salle Lipa.
After coming up with the topic and objectives, looking for necessary articles for the research was the next step. In De La Salle Lipa’s official website, the objectives of the Accountancy and Law program were learned. Also, in the blog, The Outlier, some reasons as to why Accountancy is a good pre-law course were enumerated according to the opinion of a female blogger named Athena. According to her text post, Accountancy has four law subjects and two taxation subjects, which when studied thoroughly, will make an Accountancy student experience the edge on Law school proper. Moreover, Accountancy requires an analytical mind, which for certain is needed by aspiring lawyers.
