All these people share a common goal: to help and serve their country. They all put their lives on the line, whether it be fighting in a foreign country to protect our country from danger or fighting in the very streets where we like to call home. Police Officers spend countless hours or days camping in their vehicles to scout out any evil that is going on to protect the innocent. Firefighters and paramedics are always on alert and ready to go whenever an emergency has occurred. Marines and Military Soldiers are sent out across the ocean and lands to fight for their country in order for their people to live a peaceful life.
Being a hero is not about killing the villain or risking their life for the better. It can be anyone who can give a positive influence to the world by saving an animal from the tree or helping seniors cross the street. A hero can be someone who holds a door for someone when entering a store or someone who picked up littered trash. These are just ordinary things that ordinary people can do. Someone who can change lives of others in a positive way. A hero does not need supernatural powers to save others and do heroic things. Someone who is willing to stand up for others in tough situations. Any hero shares a common characteristic: courage.
