THE STORY BEHIND THE TRADEMARK RED SOLES:
It is said that once Louboutin was drawing a shoe design and he was unsatisfied with each and every one of them; then, he saw his assistant polishing her nails red and from there came the infamous Louboutin red soles.
INSIDE THE DESIGNER’S EYE:
Louboutin once said: “I’d hate to have someone look at my shoes and say ‘Oh My God! They look so comfortable!’,” referring to the towering heels he is famous for creating. He has even designed 12 inch heels!
On his provocative ads and the relation of sensuality to shoes, he says: “ A naked woman wearing only my shoes would be art, a naked man wearing only shoes would make him look like a fool!” referring to his appreciation of the female grace and felinity which makes his creations look even more enchanting...
