When I Came To High School Essay
When I first came to this school, I was in second grade. I can’t believe I was at this school for 6 years. I can’t believe i’ve been here for about 6 years. I never thought I would be in Atwater for this long, since before my family moved. From house to house and I going from school to school. Throughout the years at Bellevue I didn’t have a tough time making friends, but the hard thing was watching them move away. Well some of them. The good thing is I still have those friends today, the ones I met through out 2-8. It’s also tough to see that most of the teachers I had are no longer at Bellevue or even not remember me at all. I loved all my years here, but I really loved this year. I believe that 8th grade is going to be one of the best school …show more content…
Through sports and I got put into Writing Festivals. It’s an amazing feeling. I joined Flag Football where we became Division Champions. I also joined Basketball and Baseball. The basketball team wasn't successful, but i’m still glad I joined the team. I’m so glad I decided to join sports this year. Erick Valdez and I got invited to FLIGHT which is a basketball academy. This was because the ref really liked how we played on our last game. FLIGHT plays all over the state of Atwater which is insane to think about.I first represented a school and now I get to represent a whole town. Atwater may not be that big of a place, but it’s still an honor to have a chance to play for it. When I get older I would love to go to school to be a sports journalist because Mrs.Youkhana makes me feel like a great writer, but if she thinks so I guess I am. I may also consider teaching. Teaching a P.E class or an ELA class. I considered this because of Mrs.Cantwell. I love writing her my goals and thoughts on quotes. I wrote my thoughts on a quote and I wrote that I wake up at 5 in the morning to get ready for school because I live almost 2 miles away from my school and I don’t get home until 6

Growing up we all looked forward to starting high school, but how many of us enjoyed every bit of it? High school was a moment that I looked forward to; thoughts of doing what I finally wanted to flood my mind. In June 2008, I received my GSAT result and was delighted when I saw that I passed for the William Knibb Memorial High School; although a bit disappointed because it wasn’t on my top five list. High school was not everything that I expected. In a few days, I met a few nice people. The first week of school was amazing, but after a few weeks things started getting intense. High school; however, was no bed of roses, especially when it came onto the subjects, reports, and school rules.…

I love to write, I was a finalist in the Veteran’s Day essay in sixth grade and I spend my free time writing, reading or making up stories. Currently I’m writing a book called “Dark April” which is about all the bad things that happened on April 14th. This includes a long list such as Lincoln’s assassination, the first Jews reported at Auschwitz, the cure for typhoid is created and the sinking of the Titanic. I love to push my boundaries, and try new things like food or books. I love to learn about the world and have been to a few countries, however not as many as I would like to one day see. I received S.O.M (student of the month) four times in seventh grade, making honor roll three times, and receiving M.A.G.I.C student a total of seven times. I was placed into honors English and Spanish and even started my own sports blog. However my biggest academic achievement would be receiving the President’s Award for Outstanding Academics. I pride myself on my speaking skills, preforming in my church’s annual Christmas pageant and even forcing my brothers to be in my holiday plays in my basement. I enjoy doing readings during school Mass. I love little kids, so I took a baby sitting course called Safe Sitter. I read to little kids in the basement of my old church during mass, sang songs and did crafts with them because readings and Homilies are to complex for a bunch of three and five year olds. I went to the soup kitchen in Waukegan and helped out there for the afternoon, and I helped set up a haunted house at the Gorton community center for little kids, even helping re arrange paperback books at the library. I love being a leader because I stick up for what’s right. I’m independent and I don’t care what others think of me. I donate money to charities such as the Hole In The Wall Gang, which is now known as SeriousFun. I also ran a 5K for VIE, a group…

Getting to see everybody everyday can get tiring, in which you want out, but realizing that I'm going to actually graduate in 15 days, it makes me think of all the good times and how I’m going to miss not going to the same school as my brother, and having to make new bonds with new people nonstop and getting new teachers every year that could care more than others or not care as much, and to me 90% of a teacher's job, is caring for their…

When I look back at my High School experience senior year was astounding, mainly due to my distinctive institution. I had the opportunity to partake on the football team, track & field team and was a honor student. Another benefit from my alma mater was the diversity of the institution and large number of students (2000 students). In my opinion Wilson Senior High School was the best DC Public School with high test scores and extracurricular activities for everyone.…

Everyone would rather feel wide awake during as school day than to be falling asleep in class, unable to concentrate for the big final. Sleep is mandatory to everyone, and people depend on sleep to function every day. The amount of sleep a person gets throughout a night can affect their mind, making their abilities to remember, think, and learn harder. Things that I have learned so far about high school is that the more you will realize who your friends are they will really start showing you their “true colors”. Furthermore balancing the workload is a very hard task because you have extra curriculum and other responsibilities dealing with your household. Being in high school you aren't going to get pampered or a teacher constantly coming to you, tell you that you have work due , missing assignments , being in class on time and keeping up with your grades . Also , I have learned that you shouldn't wait unit the last minute to turn work in or ask for extra credit , most certainty you shouldn't wait until the day before the due date to turn in your assignments . By having other classes that will be due…

For most teens, the loud, annoying ring of their alarm clock is what wakes them up from their sleep, to start getting ready for school. Delaying the high school bell time can help teens get extra sleep. This is a topic that has pros and cons. Nevertheless, the benefits that come from starting school later clearly outweigh the drawbacks. high school start times must be delayed because teens will perform better in school, have a better social life, and have fewer health risks.…

From a young age we’re asked what we want to be when we grow up, never how we expect to become when we grow up. I was well aware of what I wanted to become, but not sure how to get there until I started high school when my counselor explained to me the importance of having a full portfolio with a wide range of extracurricular activities. Then it became clear to me, I needed extracurricular activities to become who I wished to be. Throughout my high school career I’ve participated in several extracurricular actives such as math club, soccer and UIL One Act. In the future, I want to participate in these activities or anything similar to those I participated in high school.…

And from there I started being excited of this new school for new beginnings, but there was still anxiety flowing through my…
