Throughout this story, Keats mentions how worried he is that he won’t be able to get all of his work finished before he passes away since he knows his time his coming around the corner. “Of the wide world I stand alone, and think till love and fame to nothingness do sink” (Page 885 lines 13-14), Keats brings up how he is going to alone when he passes away, no friends, no lover, absolutely no one will by his side and he brings up once he dies, he will be forgotten forever. With him being alone when he does die and the fact he won’t be able to finish his works before he does pass away, it’s one of his biggest fears. He didn’t want to be forgotten once he did die but he was more afraid of not being able to finish all of his stories that he had started while he was alive. In this story, Keats wants people to understand what art really has to bring to someone. He wants people to understand that art is one of the most beautiful things life has to offer someone and he doesn’t want anyone to take advantage of it or ignore it. Keats also brings up how art can easily outlast anyone and that art is here for years upon years and someone is only alive for a certain amount of time. He also brings up how artwork is able to speak to a person in different ways, there is always a story behind each painting or in any type of pottery with certain designs all around it, it can speak to someone just by the way it looks. “When old age shall this generation waste, thou shalt remain, in midst of other woe” (Page 892 lines 46-47), Keats is speaking about how when people die, artwork will forever remain and basically outlast any human being so people should start to appreciate it more while they
