When Jack Horner Was A Paleontologist

Jack Horner was born in Shelby, Montana June 15, 1946. When he was born his father was drafted to WW2. He was forced to live in a camp by a hillside because of the gravel company growth. Soon after his father returned alive and mainly well from the war. Horner had undiagnosed dyslexia which would lead to him having trouble in education later on in life. When Jack was eight years old his dad took him on a paleontology trip. Jack was with his father when he found to find not only found a bone but an entire skeleton. As Jack grew up he only grew up with his mother and his father. His mother being named Miriam Whitted from Virginia and his dad going by the name of John Horner coming from Montana. Having his undiagnosed dyslexia he could not learn very well and was hated among some of his teachers. The most known one is his english teacher who hated him due to his unknown dyslexia but in a playful response Jack sent him a copy of his first book later . His two main dreams were to be a paleontologist and to have a pet dinosaur. To pursue his dreams he needed knowledge, mainly about what he wanted to be. He went to Princeton University where he attempted to get a degree in geology and astrophysics. Unfortunately due to his dyslexia he got neither. As his life went on he received an interesting job opportunity. Jurassic Park gave him the chance to be a technical advisor and consultant. Also the well known character called Alan Grant is actually a portrayal of Jack Horner. Believe it or not Jack Horner made an appearance in the most recent movie of this spectacular series Jurassic Park. Unfortunately he was fired for marrying a 19 year old at the time. During his time in college Horner was drafted into the Vietnam War. He had to go through the atrocities of war. Jack had to put an end to many soldiers with families but that is just war. One of his passion was obviously discovering dinosaurs. As I said before it was one of his dreams alongside wanting a pet dinosaur. I’d say he kind of got his dream working with Jurassic Park creators. Believe it or not at the time of him being in college Jack liked driving trucks. This isn’t really important but it’s a interesting thing to know that he liked these things. Jack has been a technical consultant for Jurassic Park but he has also had many more jobs. He has also been a Professor at Montana State University. In addition he has been a technician at Princeton University Natural History Museum which led to another job of being a Research Assistant. But his most well known job is being a paleontologist. He worked on his passion (Paleontology) every weekend always having a new chance for discovery. Thankfully Jack Horner is still alive at the current age of 70. So he is still discovering things about dinosaurs. Currently he is working on reviving the prehistoric creatures to the present. His current residency is Bozeman, Montana in the United States. Also Horner has written 7 books in his lifetime so far. Finally he has only 1 award called the MacArthur Fellowship Award.
