When one day is gone, you can’t go back and make things right. Twenty-four hours is enough time to do a lot, but when you don’t plan what you want to do with your month the days fly by too quickly. Some people want to be able to travel without thinking whether they can afford it. One of my childhood friends is able to fly all over the world, he constantly is improving on himself and though many saw him as the joker in school, he has made a name for himself.
We are own worst enemies
Do you feel the urge to do more, to be more, but think you can’t? We spend our lives allowing people to dictate who we are and where we should go. The road can be a tireless place to walk and we carry heavy loads on that journey. We all have a purpose and not following it is doing a disservice to God, yourself, your family and your community.
Words have no claim on us until we let them. And we are all a slave to words unless we understand the power they have over us and stop listening to the negative words that pull you back. In high school, I knew a kid who everyone thought was crazy, his parents and the teachers saw him as a problem because he thought differently from everyone. There were moments when he would say the most profound things, but everyone saw him as a nutcase. Excuses come and go, but the root of the excuse is still the same. Fear will stop and control you from pursuing your goals, but fear has built a seed in you because you allowed it. You allowed people to say that you were not good enough, you allowed them to steal your dream and stop you from going all out.
Actions speak louder than words
It’s hard to get motivated. There will be days when all you want to do is lie in bed and listen to sad songs. The key to anything in life is understanding that actions speak louder than words. Blowing your trumpet isn’t going to bring momentum into your life if you are not doing anything. Telling people that you are doing A, B and C won’t make it true if all you are doing is saying it.
If you want to be motivated then get to work. Momentum comes when you are continuously working on your goals. Often people talk about wanting to do something and they procrastinate. The problem with procrastination is it will always convince you that there’s always tomorrow, when tomorrow comes, you continue on this downward spiral of postponing what you are meant to
