The book is mainly about freedom and individual responsibility, the point of the book is to make people believe that this book is how the United States should be based on. After I read this book, I realized that freedom and individual responsibility walk together and you cannot separate them.
These two topics, freedom and individual responsibility, are really important when analyzing the importance of ethics. Starting with freedom, I realized after reading the book that without freedom, our society would not work in the same way that it works right now. An individual must have the freedom to choose what he wants for his life, for example, what he wants to do for living. In addition, that guide us to another word that show us why freedom is so important this word is incentive.
The first time that you think about it, the connection between freedom and incentive does not really make sense. However, when you start to analyze some points you see that connection. Mr. Reed states, “An incentive is something that encourages an action”. That is the reason for a person to keep working on his own development. This word, “incentive”, moves everything around us, without this incentive there would not exist any improvements to our society.
For example, my incentive to practice every day is to get better and better every single day. The more I improve my game the better I will help my team to win our matches. That sounds a stupid example, but when you use this logic for another areas ass science and economy, that makes total sense.
Now, linking the two words we see the importance of freedom. If you have the incentive to learn something that you like and that really interest you, and you want know more and more about this something, but you do not have the freedom to learn and acquire knowledge, this incentive becomes useless.
After talking about freedom, we start to talk about
