When I Wear Lipstick vs. Lip-Gloss
When I Wear Lipstick vs. Lip-gloss I fell in love with coloring my lips with make-up at the age of 5, the way my full lips pop with a pretty color made me wanted to kiss my own lips. I have tried all lip make-up, Chap Stick, lip balm, lip-gloss and lipstick; my favorite had to be lipstick and lip-gloss because of the color choices I can add to my lips. I can put my favorite color on my lips with lip-gloss and lipstick but their textures make a difference in the color. They can inappropriate to wear some places and can be appropriate to wear other places. If I had to pick a favorite, I just would not be able to do so because of the difference in them. Lipstick as soon as applied it adds color to my lip, it’s deeply pigmented. It only takes one application and the color is added to my lip. When I’m going for a Marilyn Monroe look with the color red I turn to lipstick because the color red really shows with lipstick. Lip-gloss only takes one application for the color to add to the lip but there are times when a sheer gloss needs to be added for the color to pop. When I want a juicy Meagan Good look on the lip, I choose any color with lip-gloss and add a sheer on top which always does the trick. So when I’m going for a certain look with my lips I make a chose between the two. The texture with lipstick and lip-gloss have their pros and cons, I can’t focus on the pros without realizing the cons. Lipstick tend to have a matte feeling with little to no sheer, it can often leave my lips dry less than an hour having it on. It sometimes brings out the crackles and wrinkles in my lips but a lipstick with more sheer, I can avoid these flaws. Lip-gloss tends to have glitter in them or a sticky finish which leaves my lips feeling chapped. After rubbing my lips together a couple times, the chapped feeling makes me rub the gloss off my lips and apply lip balm. A natural lip-gloss helps me avoid that flaw. I like to wear lipstick when going to work, on a fancy date with my

Suh used her own experience and her reputation to support her argument on stop wearing make up, and just be natural. First, Suh is a professional editor and writing coach in New York City. In addition, her work has appeared in the New York Times, Smock magazine, and the Asian Pacific American Journal (Suh 187). Based on her reputation, audience can fully trust what she said. Second, Suh used her own experience to tell us used makeup sometimes not look beautiful but horrible. For example, after used eye makeup, Suh could not recognize her face in the mirror because “ the drawn-on fold and dark, heavy shadows distorted and proportioned my whole face” (Suh 189). Suh stared at the mirror, and found the face in the mirror looked like a stranger. She looked terrible after wearing make up. Suh also notice that no everyone is suitable for wearing make up. The Estee lady was pretty, so after her make up she was pretty too. “Her blue eyes were recessed in an intricate pattern of folds and hollows” (Suh 189). However, Suh was not beautiful, as her own description about herself, she was with “ragged hair; the dark circles under my eyes; the facial blemishes” (Suh 187). Use soft natural colors on eyes, cheeks, and lips. Browns, pinks and neutral are all appropriate choices. We do require that you wear mascara and lipstick or gloss. Remember, you never know when there will be a camera in your face. Do not clump your eyelashes with mascara. One to two coats of most mascara is more than enough. Wear lipstick or gloss, making sure to refresh the application throughout the day as needed. Wear a light blush for day and deepen the color for evening. Be sure to blend all makeup. When applied, makeup shouldn't appear as if you are wearing a mask. Orange faces and necks that appear to be a different color are not…

You can also base your choices on your eye color. For people who have blue eyes choose shades that contrast your eye color like pale pinks. This color would really make the color of your eyes pop. Green eyed people look amazing with brown eye shadow on but if you want to go for drama, choose a dark purple eye shadow and that would surely bring intensity and depth to your eyes.
