As I have already mentioned mostly only high class people lived in castles. Some of those higher class people were kings, queens with their families, and lords and ladies. The castle provided shelter for them. There were others who served pretty big purposes, such as constable, who took care of the castle when the lord’s were away. Everyday tasks were done by servants, such as cooks, craftsmans, and spinners. Cooks cooked all the food to be served. Craftsmans crafted stuff needed for the castle. From 1066 to 1200 was the Romanesque or Norman architecture. From 1200 to 1300 was the Early English Gothic Style, which was also called Lancet. From 1300 to 1400 was the Decorated Gothic Style. The last was from 1400 to 1500 was the Perpendicular Gothic Style. The changes in Medieval Architecture were made in response to social and cultural changes during the Medieval era, changing needs of the population, changes in technology, in terms of building tools, new building techniques, symbolic reasons and designs in the style of architecture or practical reasons for the new locations of castles, and the desire for more comfort in the castles
